Well, i started the summer with Notts Contemporary, and i'm ending it there too, i went back to see the Aquatopia exhibition that was on, and although it wasn't as much inspiration to me as the Leckey exhibition, it was certainly worth a look. There is a LOT of paintings, possibly too many if you ask me, many of which are not "contemporary" paintings.. they bored me a little. I can appreciate the time and effort gone into these pieces, but i feel that i need to see something with a bit of excitement when it comes to the ocean. (it's an interesting place after all!) However i did enjoy the video that was playing, it was intriguing (even if it did drag a little bit.) I enjoyed the exhibition as a whole, it worked well and the more non-2D pieces interested me the most. Looking forward to seeing what's on next at contemporary

Back to Contemporary!
