I suppose i best start my summer project! Visiting Contemporary...

After our sorta "taster" session at Nottingham Trent, we were heavily influenced to visit some galleries to keep us inspired over summer.. While in Notts it was kind of a necessity to head down to contemporary. Leckey's work is certainly a mixed bag, but what really caught my eye was the UV drawings/pictures. It gave me some ideas on how i can mix up my ideas i had during my FMP. All the way from questioning whether it exists without the light, and back to when i was experimenting with mono-printing. I would like to see how mono printing could work alongside UV light, which also links back into my drawing roots.
The picture to the right shows the UV drawings obviously without the light hitting them. But they are really striking when the light is on and brings the piece to life. But i'm curious to see if there is a way to make it invisible to the eye without the light...
Here are some more pictures from the exhibition, which shows the wide variety in the exhibition. I really enjoyed it to be honest, it flowed very well, and i got inspiration from it.
