I kinda forgot about this kind of stuff.

Really good in an optical illusion perspective, totally plays with how the eye processes light and colour etc, i also like the fact its moving.

Not typical David Trubridge work as far as I'm aware, but i found this quite interesting so yeah, kinda links in with my project, i also like the interaction with light etc, so it's kinda cool

Janet echelman, creating these awesome (and seemingly) floating installations, i think they're rather cool, creating a solid looking image out of something simple. I like it!

Something quite interesting about this, i like the fact that light is used within the piece and it gives off a strange 3D effect. I'm going to experiment with light next week methinks

Mark Rothko

Leading on from my looking into Discordant colours, Mark Rothko was kinda the first thing i needed to look at artist wise. It doesn't particularly link into my work, but it is a good example of use of discordant colours.

A lot of optical illusions often use an interesting choice of colours, normally on opposite sides of the colour spectrum (discordant colours), found a couple of websites talking about these  colours and how they work within design etc.

Kumi Yamashita and Noble and Webster

I really like how this work is done, it's interesting how simple objects can create something completely different. I think i may try out shadow art, it's very interesting.

Rashad Alakbarov

Clo showed me this artist which i thought was rather cool.  I especially like the coloured pieces using plastics, it creates a really unique image. Its an interesting take on shadow art.

Michael Kalish

This is the only piece of work which links into the kind of work I'm looking into, but it's very interesting. Using something as simple as filled balloons have created a very interesting image which is really effective, i also like the scale of the piece.

Gabriel Dawe

Once again something really colourful which i like a lot, it's interesting because it creates an unusual shape. Your mind is being tricked into thinking something solid is actually there. I think this works well in the category of optic art.

I Like how interesting and i interactive Soto's work is, and it's awesome how you can create such a solid piece of work using only string, it also works well in regards to scale.

I really like this work, its very subtle in showing images which i like a lot. Also i like the use of colour, it's very eye catching. Kinda links in with the mind "filling in the gaps" i was talking about with Jon.
