I need to really figure out where my pathway is leading me, yeah, i like drawing, but how can i explore drawing to give me a better understanding and more impact. Taking a look at a few artists will hopefully help me to find my way. One i looked at is Yinka Shonibare, his view on his own culture is interesting, and though he is not initially a textile artist, he gives me confidence that artists can expand in other areas of art. I like it how he can use something really recognisable and make it into something you have to look at to understand. Also i like how he does his work in a subtle way and not too much thrown at you. His work might help me in this project because he has a humour to his work that i can see fitting into Alternative Miss World.
