Art Sheffield

Because i couldn't make it to London, i nipped down to Sheffield to view some pieces in both the Graves and Millennium Galleries. My first stop was the Millennium Gallery for a exhibition by Chris Watson, where there was a sheffield sound map. I liked the concept of this piece, the idea of sitting and concentrating on thing you would not normally listen to was a good thought. Although it was difficult to hear at the time, which was rather disappointing.  Next i stopped off at the Graves Gallery to view an exhibition included within Art Sheffield by Zoe Beloff, i really enjoyed this exhibition. She displayed a video of a play she has remade using her own hand made props and characters. It gave it a personal twist. Also there were elements of humour within the piece i particularly enjoyed.
